For my maternity shoot, Joy really made the photoshoot super fun and easy. She made us feel comfortable, had poses ready for us. There was never a dull moment the whole time shooting and I’m glad we were able to work together to make such a beautiful outcome because throughout the majority of my pregnancy, I didn’t feel pretty, and lost that confidence in myself, but I’m glad Joy made it come back through her photography! Highly recommend!!!

Choosing Joy to capture my surprise proposal to my new Fiancé was absolutely perfect - and turned out to be just as memorable as her photography showcased! Her photography skills that day were impeccable considering the grandeur of the location and terrain at Big Sur, California. Our photos really captured the true excitement and emotion of that moment, for which I had no doubt on Joy’s masterful skills behind her lens.

The end product of a beautiful collection of memories caught on camera, does not reveal the meticulous pre-planning of the surprise photo shoot. Joy and her wonderful assistant extraordinaire, Kevin, were accommodating and patient with my elaborate plan of surprising my girlfriend at a remote destination. A few emails and meetup at a local coffeeshop 1.5 weeks before the date consisted of logistics and details planning. I appreciated Joy’s communication throughout her service. She has a realness and down-to-earth quality rarely seen with professionalism. My Fiancé is a private type of person and isn’t even big on taking professional photos, but Joy made the whole process seamless for her. We were able to just be ourselves after the surprise and right into an engagement photoshoot afterwards!

In between all the details, the secret plan went down the day of - with anticipation and execution with a simple PIN on google maps to a secret location. This location embodied all I ever wanted as a backdrop to propose. And, I trusted Joy to find the perfect spot and she delivered!

Thank you Joy and Kevin for “making it happen”! I truly felt we were a team that whole time - and now my Fiancé and I have memorable photos of our special moment! We are forever grateful!

OMG. Where do I even start? Joy is so great! I originally wanted her to do my maternity photos but I had my baby early, but we eventually met for a family session! She responds very promptly through email! She helped me pick outfits (man was i stressed) for the men in my life! Lol. She was patient with our 2 month old, poor little guy had a blowout between shots & completely passed out toward the end of our session. Once it was done she told us she’ll post previews. I know she has up to 15 days to finish (as per contract) but she had them all ready & done before the week was up! And boy were they beautiful! We loved every single photo. We will definitely book her again! Thank you so much Joy!

My fiancé’ and I had a wonderful experience with Joy as our photographer, for our engagement photos. We were both nervous as we are not very photogenic people nor do we like our pictures taken. With Joy we were able to relax, have fun, and enjoy the experience. She suggested a wonderful spot for the photo shoot, and gave me very helpful outfit tips. All her suggestions really helped give our photos the look I was wanting. 

Her turn around time for getting the photos to us was incredibly fast. We took the pictures on a Thursday evening and I was receiving sneak peek photos by Friday night! I received the rest by Saturday! I don't think I did anything else that weekend but look at them over and over again! Truly the pictures speak for themselves. They show her talent, eye for beauty, and you can really tell this is her passion. 
We can not wait to have her shoot our wedding photos in February!

Joy was absolutely amazing to work with. She is fun, professional, and truly has a passion for what she does. Upon meeting Joy at the golden hour of the day, she explained to my husband and I her technique. Right away I knew we were going to get breathtaking photos. Joy is able to visualize every single detail in and out of her camera lens to make pure perfection. My almost 4 month old son was mesmerized by Joy and gave her lots of smiles. Joy edited our pictures and got them back to us less than a week of taking them! She clearly has a love for capturing beauty and perfecting each photo. I am so happy that I booked with Joy and have beautiful pictures to last a life time. I can’t wait until our next shoot! Thank you so much Joy!!

"Capturing photos of the most important day in a couple's lives is one of the essentials in a wedding. Photographs are tools to linger memories of the moment over and over again. As a photo enthusiast and admirer of photography, I could only hope that one day I would be the subject (except for selfies😊) of seemingly beautiful photography. I could still remember when me and my husband were just preparing for our wedding, he just allowed me to look for somebody that will do photoshoots. Joy was recommended by my sister. I did not do research on her work, I just dove into the recommendation. A day prior the wedding, Joy came to the venue, surveyed the place and asked how did we like our photos. Trusting as I am, I told her I am a believer of young talents and i'm fine with however her creativity would take us. Photos came and i'm glad I trusted my guts! Joy is a young talent with huge potential. Working with her was fun, relaxing, full of energy and insights. There are emotions and reactions that were genuinely captured, something that cant be replicated.

Just to give a little background, my family and I live in the Bay Area. My parents and siblings still live in San Diego and we try to visit as often as we can. During the 2017 winter break, we wanted to take a family picture with our San Diego family, but we didn't know who to go with. We searched and asked our Facebook Friends and Family and after a long decision, we decided to call Joy to do our photo shoot. From the beginning, she has been easy to work with and answered every question we had. She made it real easy to coordinate the photo shoot even before leaving the Bay Area. Once we got to San Diego, the photo shoot went smooth. Our kids loved taking photos with Joy. She made the whole event fun for them which in turn made it fun for everyone. She has great ideas for each shoot and didn't turn down any idea request we made. She definitely has an eye for the perfect shot. And man did out photos turn out good. Well, not just good, but great! We love them! Her turn around for prints were quick as well. And just an FYI, her communication after the shoot was amazing. She sent us sneak peeks throughout the week and kept in touch throughout the whole process. Any one wanting a great photo shoot can definitely count on Joy to provide the awesome shots!

Our family had a great time with Joy. She is so relaxed and so easy to talk to. She made the whole shoot flow and work with us, regardless of how awkward or unruly we were... she went over and beyond all of my expectations.
